Munaf’s impressive executive leadership abilities began even before he graduated from University. His investment as a Franchise partner of Second Cup Coffee Company, the largest independent coffee retailer in Canada was his initial stepping stone into the world of business. His taste for exquisite experiences and artful designs led to the first ever implementation of a design concept outside of Second Cup’s brain trust.
Proving his strategic marketing, creative ability, passion for branding and overall business acumen has led to success with several Canadian and International companies. This includes his latest venture, Blanc Cosmetics, which he co-founded with Neera Hashmi. Blanc Cosmetics is at the forefront of teeth whitening solutions and distributes the award winning White Science product internationally. Munaf and Neera both feel proud that their shared pursuit of white teeth and a brief exchange of words led them to create Blanc Cosmetics.
Munaf also retains the position of CEO & Publisher of the respected and renowned Global Oil and Gas Magazine. He revolutionized how the industry perceives advertising by successfully launching the magazine to an international audience while taking advantage of new media and other strategies that proved critical to their continued success. The breadth and depth of his experience and background has allowed him to provide strategic insight and counsel at all levels of business, with a strong eye for opportunity to grow global brands. Munaf holds a BSC in Marketing and Finance from the University of Phoenix.
Neera Hashmi is an established entrepreneur whose passion for new busineses and ideas is proven with an impressive track record of launching successful companies and ventures. Her latest company is no exception. Blanc Cosmetics, which was co-founded with her business partner, Munaf Samji, is at the forefront of teeth whitening solutions and distributes the award winning White Science product internationally. Within one year, one retail location exploded into a global empire with international distribution.

While the operational head of Blanc Cosmetics, Neera owned and managed several upscale retail establishments including Ebony and Ivory, a high fashion black and white apparel company that acheived Best Store Design at the 14th Annual Visual Victories awards in 2011. In addition, her jewelry boutique, Four23 turned a profit in it’s first year and was the go-to place for high end jewelery . In addition to her growing retail and beauty pursuits, Neera was also a multi-year franchise owner with Second Cup Coffee Company, the largest Canadian-owned specialty coffee retailer. Her insights while at Second Cup established best practices and operational improvements that still remain today.
Neera graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Risk Management and Insurance and a minor in Sociology, from the University of Calgary.
